Holidays should be relaxing and rejuvenating, but at the moment, organising a holiday can be overwhelming, especially if travelling internationally, with most countries having different rules, restrictions, and testing requirements to tackle Covid.

While restrictions have eased on home soil and most countries are now open to British travellers, many destinations have rules in force for holidaymakers. Many of them require you to be fully vaccinated or quarantine for a set number of days.

When going on holiday, you don't want to be cooped up inside for weeks on end; you want to enjoy yourselves and revel in what this new country has to offer.

To alleviate some of the stress that comes with planning a holiday in a post-covid world, we have compiled a list of countries you can enter without getting vaccinated or quarantining on arrival.

Where can I go on holiday?

Adults don't need to be fully vaccinated to travel to these following destinations, nor do they need to quarantine on arrival.

There are, however, some requirements still in place that you should be aware of. For instance, many of these countries require proof of a negative PCR test result from all arrivals. You will be able to find the entry requirements on the government website.

Turkey.

There are so many reasons why you should visit Turkey: crystal clear waters, tall mountains, the ruins of ancient empires, small idyllic villages, and huge cosmopolitan cities.

Bodrum, Antalya, Izmir and Fethiye are home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey, with a spectrum that includes everything from secluded coves to exciting beach parties. One of the best ways to experience the Mediterranean or Aegean Coast is by taking a Blue Cruise.

If you are after something more cultured, perhaps you would like to visit one of Turkey's many archaeological sites. Turkey has a remarkable amount of archaeological sites spread across the country. From Istanbul palaces and mosques to the ruins of Ephesus to the underground cities of Cappadocia, the nation is a haven for archaeology and history enthusiasts.

Cape Verde.

It doesn't matter whether you seek adventure or relax with loved ones. Cape Verde has something to offer to everyone. The Cape Verde islands, situated off the west coast of Africa, are known for their music, culture, year-round sunshine and stunning scenery.

Cape Verde boasts hundreds of miles of breathtaking coastline with gorgeous black and white sand beaches across its ten islands. Many of these beaches are remote and unspoiled and are home to various species that only exist on Cape Verde and its surrounding waters, including whale sharks, humpback whales, and mantas.

One of the major highlights of visiting new places is the delicacies you get to enjoy, and the Cape Verde Islands are no exception. We recommend you try the manioc balls or their national delicacy cachupa.

One of the exciting things about Cape Verda is its wonderful amalgamation of cultures. Although the Portuguese originally discovered the archipelago, African and European influences flow through it. The islands will provide you with a melting pot of different cultures.

Greece.

Beautiful buildings, hospitable people, stunning beaches, fantastic weather, unique flavours; there are a million reasons why you should visit Greece.

Greek hospitality is legendary. The roots of hospitality live deep in the hearts of the Greek people. For the ancient Greeks, it was an institution and an act of virtue to welcome and care for strangers in their homes as they thought the gods sent them. Hospitality remains an important value for Greeks, and they will treat you warmly from wherever you come from.

In Greece, it is harder to avoid ruins than to find them. Visit the perfectly proportioned columns of the Parthenon or Cape Sounion; the seaside temple of Poseidon; or sprint across the well-preserved stadium on the way to the original Olympic fields at Ancient Olympia, peer into Agamemnon's tomb at Mycenae or cry over an ancient tragedy in the ancient Theater of Epidaurus.

Greek wine is exquisite; ouzo is among the most famous and worth trying. This powerful, liquorice-flavoured Greek spirit is served before meals with a glass of water. One of the many authentically Greek experiences is drinking ouzo and eating mezedes with friends at the seaside on the Greek islands.

Egypt.

Egypt may be known for its pharaohs and its pyramids, but there is more to this nation than you might expect. From surreal waters and golden sand beaches to remarkable architecture and natural therapies, Egypt is a beautiful place to visit.

Ancient Egypt is one of the most exciting and oldest civilisations. The Great Pyramids of Giza, the only surviving ancient wonder, along with ancient Egyptian statues and tombs, continue to seize the attention of top archaeologists and, of course, the wider world.

The Red Sea is without question the best place to dive in Egypt. It offers diverse locations for an unforgettable experience, including bright corals and colourful, distinctive fish. Egypt offers different diving opportunities, including wrecks, walls, drifts, pinnacles, shore dives, day boats and liveaboards.

Therapeutic tourism has long been popular in Egypt. The hot springs here are reputed to help cure respiratory diseases, kidney, bone and other skin problems. The mud in many areas is also said to cure skin issues. Sand-burying massages are also popular in Egypt and treat physical injuries.

Costa Rica.

Costa Rica has long been one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. With its golden beaches, abundant wildlife, and endless opportunities for adventure, it offers an unparalleled tropical vacation experience. There is no shortage of fun things to do in Costa Rica, no matter what type of vacation you are looking for.

The country is perfect for wildlife lovers. It's a world-class birding destination, with resplendent quetzals, oropendolas, scarlet and green macaws, toucans and toucanets, and all kinds of raptors, aquatic birds and songbirds.

Recreational zip lining was actually invented in Costa Rica, and it remains a breathtaking adventure that's not to be missed. Costa Rica is also a global magnet for surfers. Other popular water sports include white-water rafting, kayaking, scuba diving and snorkelling. The country is also a fisherman's paradise, with some of the world's largest populations of sailfish and marlin. Both deep-sea and inshore fishing are big attractions, and anglers are also drawn to Costa Rica's many rivers and lakes.

There is no shortage of exciting outdoor adventures, activities, and tours to enjoy in Costa Rica. Among the ways to explore the country's abundant natural riches are hiking, birding, horseback riding, all-terrain vehicle tours, cycling and mountain climbing.
